This Past Weekend

Well, we had a pretty busy past weekend. My brother Jason got married on Saturday so, my sister and 2 of her kiddos came in on Friday morning. I love it when they come to visit so, I was pretty excited to see them. After she came in we went shoe shopping, just the 2 of us with our little babies. And we stopped to get the bride and groom a wedding gift. After we got home there was a BBQ for both sides of the family. Pretty uneventful!!!!

Saturday morning was the wedding and it turned out very nice. The ceremony was short and sweet, just the way I like it. The bride Crystal looked beauiful and she and my brother both looked very happy. It was a nice sight to see. Jason's 2 little boys were there and they were very cute to watch. His 3 year old kept going over and standing by them during the ceremony, very precious. The reception was nice and the food was great. I feel like I didn't really talk to a whole lot of people. I think I spent most of the time talking to the people who were at my table. But that is all good.

I of course didn't bring my camera so, I will have to wait until people email me the pictures that they took. I will post when I get them.

First Tooth, What?!?!?!?!?!?

So, people have been saying that they think that Audrey is getting teeth on the bottom. I have been in complete denial because she is just SO young. Well, today I can no longer be in denial. Her first tooth has popped through on the bottom right side of her mouth. I must admit I am actually kind of sad about this because she is only 3 1/2 months old. Oh well, I guess you can't stop that kind of development.

Audrey 3 1/2 months

You know, I just realized that I never do any Audrey posts. And I know that I need to write down more about what is going on with her. She is now 3 1/2 months and just the cutest little doll that you could ever lay your eyes on. Everyday she gets happier and happier (not that she wasn't happy before). All you have to do is smile or say hi to her and she gives you the biggest open mouthed smile there is. She just loves her mom and can't seem to get enough of me (which I can definitely not complain about). She is a great sleeper and always has been. Pretty much from the day she was born she has slept at least 5 hour stretches at night. Now it is more like 6-8 hour stretches. And she goes down at night with no problem. I think she loves it when it is bed time. Which is just fabulous!!!!!! While my sister was here a couple weeks ago she rolled over from front to back. Of course I was outside so I competely missed it. Well she didn't do it again until a couple of days ago. Which I did actually witness. It was pretty cute. Her brothers just adore her and love it when they can make her smile. Parker is pretty good at it. I am going to try to do better about documenting her development on here. That way I at least have it written down somewhere, since I am so bad at writing in the baby book. Poor Logan has nothing written down. For the first year of his life I was really good about writing his milestones on the calendar so that when I got around to his baby book I would have everything. Well, the calendar was accidently thrown away and I was so sad to lose the data. Anyway, here are some adorable pictures of our sweet little Audrey.

1st Day of School

Yesterday was Bradyn's First Day of 1st Grade. I cannot believe that I have a 1st grader!!! Since we moved this summer Bradyn started a new school and although he was very excited, I could tell he was a little nervous. I was nervous too. I loved his old school and old teacher so much that I was a little sad that he wasn't going back. However, we meet his new teacher the night before and she seems really wonderful. So that made me feel better. And today was his first time riding a bus to school (something else that I was really nervous about). He was so excited and since he and the little boy across the street are the only two kids in the neighborhood being picked up, they moved the bus stop from around the corner and down the street to the corner which is one house down. I am so excited about this because now I don't have to drag the other kids out of the house and I can just walk outside and the stop is right there. HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!

My baby's all grown up
Bradyn and his friend Nolan. Bradyn has known Nolan since they were babies and they both happen to move this summer and are now going to the same school. How crazy is that.

As a little sidenote.... Les also started his new teaching job and everything seems to be going really good. He gets home so early now which is awesome for me :)

New name for the blog

So, as you can see I changed the name of our blog. Since we are no longer living in Texas, I felt that our adventures there were over :( I couldn't really think of anything really clever so, I just called it as our family is.

Our Family Vacation

At first, our family vacation was going to be our trip out to Michigan for the summer. However, since Les was thankfully able to get a job in Michigan 2 days after we got here in June we wanted to take a real vacation. So, we decided to head up to Traverse City and stayed at the home of a family I know for a couple of days who were going to be gone for the entire summer. We did a lot of fun things so, be sure to scroll all the way down because I put up a bunch of posts.

The car ride up. Horray for Burger King and in car movies!!!
Dad and Parker cooking S'mores
Dad and Logan
Dad and Bradyn
Audrey was just so excited to be on vacation with her family. Can you tell?

Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes

The first stop on our fabulous Vacation was the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes.

This was on the scenic drive. It made me very nervous for them to be over there, even though it is not the drop that it appears to be.
One of our few whole family shots and poor Audrey is stuck in the carseat.
I am not exactly sure what happened but at the end of our visit to the dunes Parker got completely covered in sand so, we tried to clean him off the best we could.
Audrey is really enjoying the dunes, can you tell?

The boys start heading up. Poor Logan he is always left behind by his brothers.
The really cruised up that dune, I was really impressed.
At the first top of the dune.
Super happy because they made it to the top.
Check out their poses. See how far they climbed and check out that view. Isn't it gorgeous!!!!!

Lake Michigan

While up north, we went to a beach on Lake Michigan in Frankfort. The boys had a blast playing with their dad in the water.
You can't see it very well, but Logan has a really scraped up nose from taking a dive at the park the week before.
Covered in sand, how great is that :)
Our beach beauty. Isn't she just adorable.
Bradyn ready to throw a bucket of water on dad.
Fun in the water
Logan loved playing in the sand. He probably spent more time doing this then in the water.

Holland Michigan

While we were in Traverse City, Les and I decided that we were not ready to head home quite yet so, we decided to drive down to Holland. We are really glad that we did because we had so much fun. We went to Windmill Island Gardens which has a 240 year old working Dutch windmill and a miniature Dutch Village.

Bradyn and Parker on the antique wooden carousel. Logan wasn't feeling well that day and so he did not want to stay on the ride.
The Windmill!!!!!!!
This was the cool Holiday Inn we stayed at.
The miniature Dutch village
We all tried on some wooden shoes in the village. Even Audrey got in on the fun.
We got someone to take our picture. Too bad it is so far away and you can't really see our faces.
My beautiful kids amongest the flowers. Audrey wasn't very happy!!
My boys!!!!!!!!
