Preschool Graduation

Today was Graduation at Parker and Logan's preschool. I always love going to this event because it is just so cute to watch. They had a Candyland theme and the decorations were great. I am not posting that many pictures because something is going on with the printer right now and since that is how I upload my memory card I can't get my pictures onto the computer. My friend Lisa posted these pictures online and so I just copied them. (Thanks Lisa) I will put more pictures up later since I don't have any of Logan right now.

Here is Parker with his fellow graduates. He is the 3rd from the right if you can't tell. Don't you just love those little cap and gowns? I remember when Bradyn wore it 2 years ago. So cute!!!!! Logan was sitting on the other side of the stage with the rest of the kids who will not be moving on to Kindergarten next year.
Here is Parker with his "girlfriend" Brooklyn, but don't tell him that :) We spend a lot of time with Brooklyn and her mom Lisa so, they are great little friends. I have been so lucky to have Lisa to hang out with a ton this year, it has really made the year super fun. Now that Parker and Brooklyn aren't going to preschool together anymore we won't see each other quite as much :( However, I know that the two of them are both so excited to start Kindergarten next year.
Congratulations Parker for doing such a great job in preschool!!!!!!! Also to Logan, who transitioned into school so nicely it was awesome. I think it was a real blessing that he had Parker with him for his first experience into the world of school.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!

On May 26th, 2001 we were married for Time and all Eternity in the Detroit Michigan Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. We were so in love and could not wait to be man and wife.

Well, 8 years later...............

We are still madly in love and happy to be sealed for eternity.

Today is our 8 Year Wedding Anniversary and I couldn't be more happy that I am married to this man. These past years have been great and full of adventure. We survived the student years and the beginning of the working years, which brought us to an adventurous year in the great state of Texas. Now we are getting ready to enter the student years again, but that is OK because at least this time he will be a student with a good full time job.

What have we accomplished during the last 8 years?

The greatest accomplishments anyone could ever accomplish. These 4 beautiful children!!!!! We have already been so blessed in these first 8 years together that I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.

I love you Les and thank you for being such a wonderful and loving husband!!!!!!

Happy Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LES!!!!!! That's right, he turned the big 3-0 today. I can't believe that I am married to such an old man :) Today the 3 youngest came with me and had lunch with Dad in his classroom. They were really excited that it was his birthday and that we were going to have lunch with him. The school rescheduled a rained out meet for today so, we weren't expecting to be able to have dinner together (something that I wasn't very happy about by the way). Luckily, it didn't run to late and we were all still able to eat together and enjoy some cake.

Such a pro at blowing out Birthday candles!!!!! He has had many many many years of practice, 30 years to be exact :)
Look at all those happy kids. They love their dad so much!!!!! They are so lucky to be blessed with a dad who truly loves and cares for them. Thanks for being so wonderful to our babies.

Happy Birthday to the love of my life!!!!!! Thanks for being such a supportive and loving husband. Here's to celebrating many, many more birthdays together.

Pig Tails

Audrey wore her first set of pig tails on Saturday. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Favorite Toy

This is Audrey's new favorite toy. Now that she has been trying to walk more she just loves pushing this thing around. As you can see she also loves sitting on it. It is so cute because she can totally get on it all by herself. However, we have to watch her because she also likes to try and be an acrobat and she will stand up on the seat too. Why are littles ones so daring sometimes? I mean come on, aren't they at least a little bit afraid that they will fall?
Another great thing about this toy is that she can get a lot of attention from her brothers (because you know, she hardly gets any of that, hahaha). They just love to push her around on it. Here is Parker just zooming with her. Can you see how her hair is being blown back? Yeah, she is loving every minute of it, she just laughs and laughs. Of course, every time they run across the room with her it freaks me out because I am afraid that she will go flying. I have to keep telling them that she is only a baby and to slow down. Again though, she is not afraid and she always goes back for more. Horray for Big Brothers!!!!!!!

Kindergarten Round up

Back on May 8th our school district had Kindergarten Round up. Parker was so excited to go and see the school. It is pretty funny because on the way there we passed his preschool and he said "Logan goes there by himself now right, because I go to Kindergarten now." I had to explain to him that no, this was just a time that he could go and see the school and Kindergarten classrooms, but that he wouldn't actually be starting Kindergarten until after summer break. (My kids all know what summer break means, since their dad will be off too. We talk about it a lot.) I think he also thought that I was just going to drop him off and so I had to tell him that no, I was going to stay at the school too. It is so nice because once we got there they take the kids down to the classroom to do some activities and then us parents stay back and have an information meeting. I was excited for Parker that he was able to go to the classroom without me and have a mini Kindergarten experience.

I am so excited for him to start Kindergarten because I know he is ready and will do great. I think it will be hard for him that he is only going for 1/2 day because in Texas Bradyn went to Kindergarten for a full day. I don't think he will be very happy that he doesn't get to have lunch at school. Luckily he has a little friend who is in Kindergarten right now and he sees that he comes home for lunch and so I think that has helped to prepare him.

After the parent meeting and the classroom fun, the kids (and us parents) were able to go on a bus ride. One thing that is really great about this school district is that if you want, they will transport all AM Kindergartens home from school, even if you are within walking distance. Here, Parker is taking his first school bus ride with his friend Ty. Ty is a little boy who lives next door and they just love playing together. I love this picture of Parker, I love to see that happy smiling face.

Trouble!!!!!!!

I do not know what is up with these two little boys lately!!!! They have been so insane and acting naughty quite often. It is so hard because sometimes it seems that they really don't care that I am getting mad at them. I have been trying really hard to keep my cool so, I have tried to keep the yelling to a minimum. However, I swear they don't respond to me unless I am raising my voice. I don't know, maybe I have somehow taught them that I only mean business when I am yelling. I guess, I need to reteach them that just because I am not yelling doesn't mean that I am not serious about them stopping whatever it is that they are doing.

So, today I am coming up from the basement and I notice this on the wall.

It is a row of stamps leading pretty much all the way up the stairs. Now, you may have thought that it was the 3 year old who did this, but NO it was the 5 year old. I mean come on, are you kidding me!!!!!! What would ever make him think that it was ok to stamp a bright blue stamp up a white wall, I have no idea. I think what makes it worse is that he really didn't seem to care that I was unhappy that he did this. Also, what makes it WAYYYYYYYYYY worse is that right now we are living with my parents so, it is not my wall that he stamped, it is theirs. When I showed my dad he didn't freak out, which is good.
Then, after talking to him about the stamp (and I do mean talking, I didn't raise my voice once) about 10 minutes later the two of them hide under a plastic table we have by the door wall and proceeded to finger paint on the bottom of the table. Like, Seriously?!?!?!?!? I am telling you, they just don't care about the way they are behaving lately. This is something that I definitely have to change. I am not going to tolerate being disrespected!!!!! And, I don't tolerate it so, I don't know why they want to get in trouble because they do get in trouble. Everytime!!!!!!
So, do you think that a magic eraser will take this off? Does anyone have any other ways that will take a stamp off a wall?

This morning the kids and I (except for Bradyn who was at school) went for a walk/jog/bike ride. I had Logan and Audrey in our double jogging stroller and Parker rode along with us on his bike. Bradyn got a new bike for his birthday last week and so Parker inherited his old bike. I can't begin to tell you how nice it was to be able to go out with all 3 of the younger ones and walk/jog at a good pace.

I don't know how long it will last, but I would love to be able to go walking with the kids in the morning and then also walk on the treadmill at night. I really need to get my butt in gear and lose all this weight I have accumulated these last 7 years. I have heard from a couple people how working out twice a day really seemed to make a difference in their weight loss. Lets hope it does the same for me.

WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this the start of something?

(This picture was taken about a month ago)

Today Audrey finally did it!!!!!! She stood up in the middle of the floor and then took about 4 steps. It was so cute and fun to watch. Then, a little bit later my dad set her down and she did it again. It is so funny to watch her because she gets so excited that she goes to fast and then just falls down. She is such a happy little girl that you just can't help but smile at her every minute.
*Now some pictures of our happy baby girl.

Here she was cheering on her Spartan before the Championship game. Even though they lost, she is all smiles.

If only she knew how the game was going to turn out.
