Love to my Hubby!!!!!

This past week, Les and I did something that we haven't done since our Honeymoon! We spent the night in a hotel, just the two of us. Let me tell you, it was wonderful!!!!! We are so lucky to have Les' sister Hannah back home from BYU so, Les asked her to babysit for us and then he took me out for the night as my Valentine's Day gift.

We started our evening with a trip to the Dr. because my eye was all swollen and red. I was afraid that it was Pink Eye, but thankfully it wasn't. Apparently it was caused by the nasty cold virus that I have been fighting since last week. I must admit, it was kind of nice to have Les there with me without having any of the kids there too. After the Dr. we took our stuff to the hotel and then went and got dinner at Potbelly's. We picked up our sandwiches and took them with us to go and see Valentine's Day at the movies. I thought the movie was very funny and I really enjoyed it. After the movie we went back to the hotel and had a nice relaxing evening without any kids waking us up.

The next morning we were a little bummed because we slept right through the cook to order complimentary breakfast :( I really love breakfast so, I really was sad. I'm kicking myself that we didn't set the alarm, went and ate breakfast and then went back to sleep. Oh well, maybe next time (and hopefully it won't take another 9 years).

After checking out we had a fantastic lunch at Panara Bread and then headed home to our kiddies. It was short, but still very much enjoyed. Thank you Hannah for babysitting.

And a Big Thank You to my wonderful Husband, I Love You!!!!!!

It's That Time of Year Again!!!!!

Well, it is that dreaded time of year again. Wrestling Season has begun!!!!!! Actually, I'm really not dreading it like last year. Last year, Les worked with the High School team which meant starting in November and ending in March. Not to mention the fact that they had tournaments every Saturday all day.

This year he is coaching the Middle School team (the kids he actually teaches during the day).
This means they start in January and finish at the end of February. No practice during Christmas break and only like 2 Saturday tournaments. Horray!!!!!! He gets to do something he loves and I don't have to give up too much time with my husband. Works for me!!!!!!!

Go Team!!!!!!

****The picture above is of Les when he was wrestling in High School. He is the stud in purple. If you click on the picture you can see the detail much better!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!

On May 26th, 2001 we were married for Time and all Eternity in the Detroit Michigan Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. We were so in love and could not wait to be man and wife.

Well, 8 years later...............

We are still madly in love and happy to be sealed for eternity.

Today is our 8 Year Wedding Anniversary and I couldn't be more happy that I am married to this man. These past years have been great and full of adventure. We survived the student years and the beginning of the working years, which brought us to an adventurous year in the great state of Texas. Now we are getting ready to enter the student years again, but that is OK because at least this time he will be a student with a good full time job.

What have we accomplished during the last 8 years?

The greatest accomplishments anyone could ever accomplish. These 4 beautiful children!!!!! We have already been so blessed in these first 8 years together that I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.

I love you Les and thank you for being such a wonderful and loving husband!!!!!!

Happy Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LES!!!!!! That's right, he turned the big 3-0 today. I can't believe that I am married to such an old man :) Today the 3 youngest came with me and had lunch with Dad in his classroom. They were really excited that it was his birthday and that we were going to have lunch with him. The school rescheduled a rained out meet for today so, we weren't expecting to be able to have dinner together (something that I wasn't very happy about by the way). Luckily, it didn't run to late and we were all still able to eat together and enjoy some cake.

Such a pro at blowing out Birthday candles!!!!! He has had many many many years of practice, 30 years to be exact :)
Look at all those happy kids. They love their dad so much!!!!! They are so lucky to be blessed with a dad who truly loves and cares for them. Thanks for being so wonderful to our babies.

Happy Birthday to the love of my life!!!!!! Thanks for being such a supportive and loving husband. Here's to celebrating many, many more birthdays together.
